An email sent by a patient

Dr. Jeff DesJardin and the ophthalmologist were outstanding and worked with their colleagues at Anschutz to get me transferred to a hospital with specialized care for my disease. Dr. DesJardin followed up with my husband several times after my transfer. He is an outstanding doctor.

Recap of conversation with patient rep

I just spoke with a patient who wants to share a kudos and thank you to Dr. Shabnam Khoie. He stated no one knew what was really going on with him and Dr. Khoie started running blood tests and other tests and found that he had a kidney issue. She got him in contact with Dr. Daniel Andreoli. The patient had a bone marrow issue as well and she got him in contact with Dr. Jeffrey Owsley. They found that he had aHUS, and he was started on medication and treatment but does not need dialysis. He wants to thank Dr. Khoie for helping him and getting him in contact with the right physicians. In his opinion she is a wonderful doctor.
