6 Lutheran physicians receive kudos!

Every month at Lutheran, we gladly accept thank-you notes, survey comments and calls after discharge from patients who are deeply and genuinely grateful for the care and support they received from you. It’s our pleasure to post these words about your skill and kindness in Pulse. We also include notes from your own colleagues, whom you’ve inspired and uplifted. Thank you for all you do every day.

Thanks from a patient

“I was fortunate enough to have three providers for the majority of my stay. Nurse Anne, Nurse Jordan and Dr. Shabnam Khoie. These three gave me more support then I ever expected. I can’t say enough about their knowledge and level of care! Dr. Khoie is exceptional. Her enthusiasm, her frankness and her brilliance blew me away. I looked forward to her stopping each day. I felt seen and heard by Dr Khoie. She is awesome. What a credit to your staff!”

Email from a Lutheran caregiver

“I want to give a shoutout to Dr. Graham McCracken, because his notes are so well written and comprehensive when it comes to sepsis, he spells out the exact time of sepsis reperfusion and makes things very clear.”

Email from a Lutheran caregiver who was treated as a patient

“I want to take a moment to recognize Dr. Bo Finta and the Cath Lab team for the exceptional care they provided. I underwent an ablation procedure and am now in recovery, and I am pleased to share that everything appears to be progressing well. From Nurse Laura to every member of the team involved, the level of professionalism, attentiveness and compassion throughout my treatment was truly outstanding. Their commitment to patient care made a significant difference in my experience, and I am sincerely grateful.”

Recap of conversation with a patient during rounding

She wanted me to pass along how wonderful and incredible Dr. Jonathan Eichhorn is. In her 80 years of life, she has never had a physician sit down and pray over her like he did. She felt that was so amazing and wanted to make sure he and his group know how amazing he is. Thank you, Dr. Eichhorn, for providing excellent medical and spiritual care to your patients.

Patient survey comments

  • Dr. Ryan Long, though unavailable because of a crisis, was active placing orders and, just before I was moved out of Emergency, he made a personal and reassuring visit.

  • Dr. Kerry Clarke was especially attentive and accommodating.

Thank you to these physicians and all members of our medical staff who reassure, protect, support and care for others every day. If there’s a colleague on the medical staff you feel should be recognized in this space, please click the button below.
