Action Item for Non-Employed Medical Staff: Access Change for Epic Training

A Message from HIT Learning & Engagement:

Beginning June 1, 2026, caregivers accessing training materials through the Epic Learning Home Dashboard (LHD) may be prompted to sign in using their Intermountain email address and password.

For most users, this change will have little to no impact. Caregivers who have already accessed MyIntermountain before opening LHD links, or who already sign in to view training materials, will likely experience no disruption.

However, this update may have a greater impact on non-employed physicians and APPs. Some individuals in this group may be unfamiliar with their iMail2 email credentials, unsure of their passwords, or may not yet have an account.

Non-employed caregivers are encouraged to review this change carefully. Below is a summary of what’s changing and steps you can take to minimize disruption.

What’s Changing

  • Today training links open without a separate sign-in within Epic

  • After June 1, 2026, those same links will require sign-in using your iMail2 account

What This Means for You

To access training materials, you will need:

  • Your iMail or iMail2 email address

  • Your current password used for Epic access

Your password is not changing. However, you will now use youriMail/iMail2 account to open training materials linked within the LHD.

About Your iMail2 Account

Your iMail2 account:

  • Was created when you began as a non-employed provider

  • Will now be used to access training materials

  • Is automatically provided for new non-employed providers

If you do not know your iMail2 address or are unsure whether you have one, follow the steps below.

How to Find Your iMail2 Account

  1. Go to your Intermountain Account page:https://account.intermountain.net/

  2. In the first section, look for your name, role, username, and iMail/iMail2 email address

If no iMail/iMail2 account is listed, your Data Security Analyst (DSA), facility leader or the IH Medical Staff Office can submit an AccessHub request on your behalf forMicrosoft 365 iMail2 Email – Non-Employed.

Access is typically granted within 24 hours and does not require additional approval. After 24 hours, return to your Intermountain Account page to view the assigned email address and begin using it to access training materials from the Epic LHD.

Completing these steps before June 1 will help ensure uninterrupted access to training materials on the Epic Learning Home Dashboard.
