Cath Lab team earns kudos with impressive week

While we often receive notes of gratitude from patients and loved ones, which we post with pleasure and pride here in Pulse, the kudos this month comes from our own leadership. After the talent of an entire team rose to a weeklong challenge in the Cath Lab, the celebration of their excellence was shared in meetings throughout the hospital and across Peaks. The below is from Good Samaritan Cardiovascular Services leadership.

“I would like to share our celebration of Dr. Brian Joseph Allen and our Cath Lab team. This brief account cannot fully capture the incredible efforts of this remarkable team. This celebration was also shared during huddles throughout the hospital and with our Peaks clinical leaders.

“The Cath Lab team and Dr. Allen have managed six STEMIs in seven days, with an average door-to-balloon time of 53.8 minutes, an average activation-to-CVL arrival of 24 minutes, the best D2B time being 22 minutes, and the best activation-to-CVL time being just 3 minutes! Their exceptional teamwork, professionalism and resilience have truly shone through. The team would also like to recognize the Code Team for their quick response time and support.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to you, Dr. Allen, for maintaining a positive and encouraging presence throughout a challenging day yesterday. Your leadership has greatly influenced the team.

“Additionally, Dr. Nathan Karber has provided very positive feedback on our new cardiologists, Drs. Peter Boulos, Hugh Parker and Shaheer Zulfiqar, for their engagement and high-quality patient care, and the new Cath Lab team we have developed. We are all better together! Thank you for your partnership.”
