Leadership transition at Lutheran Hospital

By Andrea Burch, Lutheran Hospital President

Reagan Goodnight, Lutheran Hospital chief nursing officer, has accepted a new opportunity as associate chief nursing officer (ACNO) at Boulder Community Health and will be leaving Intermountain Health. Her last day will be July 24.

Reagan began her journey with us in January 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Over the years, she served in a variety of nursing leadership roles, making a meaningful impact on caregivers, patients, and the community. In 2022, she transitioned into the ACNO role, where she supported nursing teams and care delivery. In June 2024, Reagan was named CNO at Lutheran.

Throughout her time with Intermountain, Reagan has led with compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to our caregivers and patients. We are grateful for her many contributions and the lasting impact she has made across our organization.

“I have had the honor of working alongside Reagan over the past several years, and I could not be prouder of all she has accomplished,” said Dina Bush, Peaks Region CNO. “She has led through complexity with strength, clarity, and unwavering commitment—never shying away from the hard work that true leadership requires. Reagan’s impact extends far beyond the results she has delivered. She has built trust, developed strong leaders, and helped shape a culture that will continue to thrive because of her influence. The true measure of a CNO isn’t only in outcomes, but in the people they grow, the confidence they instill, and the legacy they leave behind.”

Transitions like this can be difficult, and we recognize the importance of continuity and support for our teams. We are committed to ensuring caregivers at Lutheran feel supported during this time. Sky Arce, ED nursing director, will step in as interim CNO and will work closely with leaders and teams to maintain stability and ongoing support.

“With 27 years of experience spanning here and Saint Joseph Hospital, Sky has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership across acute care, critical care, and the ED,” said Reagan. “Sky's track record of delivering outstanding results and elevating nursing practice speaks for itself. I have complete confidence that Sky will step in to guide our nursing division with integrity, precision and momentum, ensuring a seamless continuation of excellence without missing a beat.”

Please join us in thanking Reagan for her dedication and leadership over the past several years. We wish her all the best as she begins her next chapter with Boulder Community Health.
