By Reagan Goodnight, BHA-HM, RN, Lutheran CNO
I am pleased to announce that Carri Montgomery, MSOL, BSN, RN, has been selected as nursing director of Women's Services. She will begin her role on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Carri is an accomplished nursing leader with more than 30 years of experience in Women’s and Newborn Services. She joins us from Platte Valley Hospital, where she spent the past 20 years in nursing leader roles. She has served as the senior nurse manager of the Women’s and Newborn Center since 2008.
She earned a BSN from the University of Colorado and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Regis University. Carri currently serves as the nursing co-chair of the Epic Journey Workgroup for the Peaks Region, is a participant of the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative, and a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.
Carri will oversee all Women's Health units and will lead and facilitate strategic and operational activities. She will develop the strategic planning process for day-to-day operations, standards of care, and attainment of organizational goals. She will implement the vision, mission and core values of the Nursing Philosophy of CARING and Intermountain Health’s Healing Commitments and Operational Effectiveness.
We're excited to welcome Carri as our new director of Women’s Services, taking over for Betsy De Leon, MSN, RN. We thank Betsy for her valuable contributions to Women’s Services over the past 11 years and are excited to have Carri join the team. We look forward to her leadership and are confident she will continue to lead Lutheran’s Women’s Services with passion and integrity.
Please join me in congratulating Carri and welcoming her into her new role.
