Thirteen St. James Clinicians Receive Kudos

Thirteen clinicians at St. James Hospital received kudos from patients and colleagues last month for exceptional partnership and compassionate care. We’re proud to recognize them by posting the comments we’ve received on their behalf in Pulse.

When she came in to begin care, I started laughing — not because anything was funny, and certainly not to be disrespectful, but rather because I was so relieved that help had arrived. She asked about that and understood why I was laughing.

Nicholas Blavatsky, MD, provided excellent care. The care I received after surgery was excellent due to the wonderful capability of all the personnel involved.

Colin Brockett, DO, was seriously amazing, and you are lucky to have someone like that! He called in a consult with Mayo and helped us navigate the system to my daughter's rare disease diagnosis. I can't thank him enough. I can't express how good this doctor is. He listened and helped us get through to Mayo Clinic directly, and we are now set up for treatment of my daughter's rare autoinflammatory condition.

Colin Brockett, DO, was outstanding. He really made me feel heard and paid attention to every detail of my health history. My husband and daughter were there also, and they were very impressed with the level of care I received. Could not have asked for a more professional team. I hope they are there if I ever need to be seen at the ER again.

Alan Mayer, MD, and Colton Ryan, MD, were wonderful. Everyone who cared for me was kind and attentive. Everything that was happening was explained completely and I was at ease in a very scary situation. Both kept me updated and calm.

Maureen Petersen, DO, was very thorough with my head injury. She erred on the side of caution by doing a second CT scan just to make sure. All the staff were very caring and empathetic.

Mark De Witt Talmage, MD, is a top-notch surgeon, and his nurses are outstanding, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. Fantastic experience.
