Construction on New St. Vincent Hospital Hits 1-Year Milestone

Just over a year ago, ground broke on the new St. Vincent Regional Hospital. Thank you for your continued patience and support as the project continues to take shape on our campus. Read on for a few updates on the facility's progress.

Exterior

• The structure has officially reached its halfway point and is now rising to Level 7.

• Steel and concrete core construction continues to move forward, with steel erection expected to continue through February 2027.

• Concrete deck pours follow steel at each level and will continue throughout 2026 as the building climbs higher.

• On the north end, where the two-level utility plant sits, exterior insulation and waterproofing systems are being installed.

• On the south end near 12th Avenue, an exterior facade mockup has been constructed. Testing on the mockup is ongoing and includes water and pressure testing to ensure a tight seal is achieved. The mockup gives each trade a "practice run" at building the exterior systems before those systems are installed on the actual hospital, helping ensure the building performs the way it should for decades to come.

Interior

• Inside the first few levels, individual rooms are starting to take shape as interior framing is now underway.

• Crews have also begun installing fire sprinklers inside the structure.

What’s Coming

In the months ahead, expect more visible exterior work on the north end, continued deck pours as the structure climbs, and more interior systems coming online inside the first few levels.
