ECMO Needs Assessment Survey

To all hospitalists and Internal Medicine physicians: You are invited to participate in an anonymous survey study evaluating Internal Medicine attendings’ exposure, confidence and competency in managing severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and ECMO referrals in community healthcare settings. The purpose of this study is to identify educational needs and inform future resource allocation for our community.

Key information:

  • Participation is voluntary and responses are anonymous. No identifying information will be collected, and your decision to participate or not will have no impact on your employment or professional relationships.

  • The survey is brief and can be completed electronically. Informed consent is implied by completion of the survey, in accordance with current standards for minimal-risk, anonymous research.

  • The study has been reviewed and approved by the appropriate institutional review board.
