Five physicians, APPs receive kudos from colleagues

Colleagues reached out after two recent simulations to thank medical staff members who led by example during the drills, performing exceptionally well and making it clear they were ready to teach, support and act in the best interest of patient health and safety. It’s our privilege to recognize them here.

I want to thank Dr. Adam Sheperdigian for participating in our maternal overdose simulation. We appreciated his engagement, insight and presence. We obviously learn a tremendous amount during inter-department simulation events, but this one in particular was especially successful because of the engagement of the code team.

Please pass on to Dr. Sheperdigian our appreciation. He has instilled in our team a sense of support and confidence that we will have help when needed!

The Code Pink (infant abduction) Planning Work Group recognizes the following practitioners for their outstanding engagement during our recent drill. Each received a Certificate of Recognition.

  • Dr. Brian Gablehouse: He stepped out of the Nursery and was actively engaged at the exits and provided just-in-time education to non-nursing caregivers, such as EVS. Amazing engagement!!

  • Dr. Amber Fontenot Ferriss: She responded to the lobby and actively looked for the assailant, identifying a man with backpack as a potential suspect.

  • Dr. Michael Johnson: He responded to the Mom-Baby Unit to offer assistance as needed.

  • Kristi Palmer, NNP: She responded to the Mom-Baby Unit to offer assistance as needed.

Our sincerest thanks to these five medical staff members! If you would like a colleague to be recognized in the Pulse Dr. Kudos feature, please click here.
