Kaiser notifies us of more departure dates
By Liz Withers, MD, MBA, Good Samaritan Chief Medical Officer
Kaiser Permanente has notified us about the departure dates for eight of its programs, and I want to share those dates with you.
KP's departure from Good Samaritan Hospital
Tuesday, July 1: Medical Oncology and Neurology
Tuesday, Sept. 2: ENT
Tuesday, Oct. 21: GI, Urology, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Ob/Gyn and Anesthesia
We're sad to see friends and exceptional colleagues leave, but this information was anticipated. Knowing these dates offers clarity and gives us a solid timeframe for pursuing aggressive growth strategies in these areas.
This work already is underway. I want to assure you that plans to strengthen existing clinical partnerships and build patient volumes are proceeding. I will share those details as soon as I am able.
Uncertainty is stressful, and I know some of you are experiencing change fatigue. Please keep in mind these departures have been expected, and some of the most disruptive phases of Kaiser's transition out of Good Samaritan are behind us.
Please reach out to me with any questions. I appreciate your resilience and your choice to lead your teams with positivity during this uncertain time. Thank you for your partnership and support.
